Ride this morning

The alarm went off at 05:45 and I rolled over and held it to my chest and pushed snooze. thought just a few more minutes. I can adjust it will be fine. I can’t run today… today is my day off running. so that means I will be biking. and I can take off a mile here and a mile there to make it home in enough time.

My eyes opened for good a 06:30. not that long you would thing. but there went doing the whole 26 miles loop and still having time to get the kids ready for swimming. so OFF I went on a nice long bike ride…

Workout Stats
Pace: 03:07 (avg)
Speed: 19.23 (mi/hr) (avg)

I am happy with this. I really am. If I could show you the hills … you would know that i was ROCKEN the course. when I hit linnwood. my home street I looked at my watch. for the time NOT the stop watch. and though OH BOY… BET my sister called with a worried Nelly of a niece. Sure enough. the pup was chomping at the bit and I was 5 min. away from being late to our 08:00 workout time….

So I RUSHED over to pick up M. and he wasnt up so we raced over to pick up the pup and she ran into the car. than we got to the pool…. to NO COACH! all that for him to be late. LOL. all good … it worked out because he showed up only a few seconds later and we were on deck by 08:06. It was great. a nice workout …

All on Butterfly and Breastroke. only one of those do I like. give you three guesses and the first two don’t count as to which one I like. : ) my arms gave out ont he butterfly. they always do. me and 100 butterfly’s just don’t get along. But it was nice to try and get the stroke better. I also did a few extra 100 freestyles when coach was talking to the rest of the kids. I was working on how to sight. If I am realy going to head out for the Cour d’ Alene Than i have to learn how to swim and sight in those bouy’s at the same time. LOL. it is harder than it looks.

Go to www.ironmancda. com and it’s the featured video on the right of the screen. It may just be the motivation you need to give it a try.

Talk to you all soon…

  1. Oh yes … it’s SO much harder than it looks! In a pool, obviously, it’s clear and you can see the lane lines and stay in them. In open water, you can’t see ANYTHING and you surely can’t rely on the people around you to keep going in the right direction. It’s pretty difficult to swim freestyle and turn your head to breathe but still lift it in such a way to see that buoy. Practice, practice, practice!
