Marathon training

what am I thinking *shakes head*
So my friend… lets call her Sandy…. well because that is her name. LOL. she and I have been working on Tri’s… she is more of a runner than anything. And I am a swimmer. as you all already know. so when she showed up at the pool I was EXCITED! (to say the least) and she signed up for her first tri of the season. one she did 2 years ago. and she was ready to better herself in it. Ready to work on swimming we worked hard for 6 weeks. and she bested her time by almost 2 minutes. in JUST the swim. over 55 seconds per mile int he bIKE!!! and over a min a mile in the run. I am just a LITTLE proud. hee hee…
so were is this going you ask. I was signed up for the Tri the Kenai. and she wasnt… she wants to do a Marathon before her 40 th birthday. and seacretly it is a barrior I need to get past. so…. I made a deal with the Devil…. I will train for the marathon with you. IF you will do the tri the kenai and the skiview hill of hell with me…..
So the deal was made. and you know what… she is coming out on top of this alot more than I am…. what kind of deal is it… when I MAKE THE DEAL… and I am the one getting the crappy end of the stick. LOL…
So in reading this AMAZING BOOK….
and with it I am laughing and understanding that this hearing impared woman and I have ALOT IN COMMEN… take out the hearing aids and run. we dont hear crap…. crank up the tunes really loud and dont talk… Most of all… WE HATE TO RUN!!! and were she had CHIPPER JENN… I have CHIPPER SANDRA…..
she said to keep a journal. so that someday I can look back on it and giggle. YEAH RIGHT. I am sure I will look back and feel pain. ; ) but for the sake of latter. Here I sit. and this is what we will be doing for the next 4 months. talking about the pain and blisters on my feet… and the chaifing from my bra. and the fact that I need to have a lubricant for my butt cheeks on the long runs. Or so the book tells me. I will find out in time. LOL…

we will be doing 435 miles in 18 weeks… JUST so that I can do a stupid 26.2 mile run consecutive….. I DIDNT! but I do NOW… and that means…
Monday was my first day and I got to rest… than swim… today was day two… that means. I had to run 3 miles and than I swam… Yup and latter I work and than ride my bike. so … I shall see you all soon… Like tomorrow. with my whinning I am sure….
