Rain

The rain is beautiful. A cleansing of the earth. Tears from heaven. God’s shedding tears of joy.

I’ve always heard these different sayings as a way for people to accept yet another day of rain. To be honest I love rainy days. They’ve always been my, hold up at home cuddle in days. Not always do I get to do that but I wish I could.

I love to walk in the rain. Means I have to take my hearing aids out. But to be frank, I hate them anyway. Hot and sweaty, plus there is just so much noise. The world is a crazy loud place. One that I could do without at times. At Rocky Horror Picture Show I had to turn them off in the lobby. So many people so much noise. You can’t distinguish one voice over another or what they are saying. Ug.

But rain I wish I could remember what that sounds like. The sound of rain falling on the roof of your car or hitting against the window pane. In closed captioning they tell you that’s happening. But I truly don’t remember what that sounds like. To far gone from my hearing world.

So I don’t say rain rain go away…. I say rain rain come here to stay. At least a week…. I have a few books to read.
