Someday you’ll get old, and than you’ll see.

Great grandma Abbott used to say this all the time. In turn my mother said it as well. Now I do. Family legacy.

What does that really mean?

It’s because we know when you point the finger at our shit ways. You think you can do better. You think…. I’ll never say/do what you did.

Guess what? You will.

When you do….. you realize that you too are a failure. I’ve always said without failure you can’t have success. It’s about how you pick yourself up again and become better.

You too will make mistakes. You are not perfect. It’s what you do with the knowledge that will set you apart.

Because success is nothing but the end result of picking yourself up and doing it all over again and again and again. Just ask failure.

When your old you will see so many things. What you did wrong…. your children will make sure you see that. What you did correct… only you will acknowledge that. Where you could have done better…. because you constantly second guess yourself.

We do the best we can with what we have.

Always striving to be better, it doesn’t always work out.

Being a failure is part of life.

We just don’t expect it to hurt so much.
