Row

6 years ago this beautiful boy showed up in the line up of my grandchildren. First boy in a military family. Momma was so far away from home. She felt lonely and scared. I remember the late might text of….

Mom he failed his hearing test. What am I going to do?

Oh sweet girl he’ll be fine. You’ll learn asl. And he’ll thrive! Look at me. I’m doing just fine. And I’m deaf as a wall stud.

He passed his second test. But his story didn’t end there. (Of course) he’s had a rough 6 years. And his momma has been amazing. She has faced each challenge with style and grace. She has fought for him and his health. She has fought for the diagnosis needed to help him through his life.

June 16th you turned 6 years old! (I know I’m a little late on the written happy birthday) This year is going to be amazing. Your momma has made sure that you are going to receive the help you need to be successful in school this year. I know the testing feels annoying and redundant. But grandma is here to tell you…. You will make it through the other side just perfectly. In 12 years when you graduate and move onto your best life….

Don’t forget to thank Her for all she made possible.

Happy birthday sweet Row.

This grandma loves you fully
