Mr D~Fly has been known for the past year as Mr. Chicken… and if you wonder why, you need only be here for a few minutes to get it. He is in LOVE with his new best friends. we started out with a little flock of 6 hens and a rooster.  With Luck we had a broody hen that hatched out 2 babies. one girl one boy. than I had 5 more on order… with a neat incubator we were able to bring in 7 more new babies… 5 of our babies this year were roosters. sad that no one wanted the pretty boys… they will be our Dinner for this winter. sad and happy all at the same time. 🙂

with 14 girls and still 6 more on the way we will have 20 girls and Our sweet Vlad….

Vlad is our ever dutiful Protector….

He makes the girls feel safe enough to go…. BUTTS UP!

and our new coop. so excited as that goes up.

 

The new Black Australorps that we got a tight ropers… and they crack me up. I will get more batteries int he camera and get pictures today…
