Now you wouldn’t think much about that cheer! I know, that I wouldn’t eather. It is something we do before EVERY swimming meet. We are ALWAYS the loudest. mostly because of my BIG MOUTH! Yet, for the first time I was too loud!
I was appaled….. LOOK at these kids….. WOULDN”T you cheer as loud as you could for them too!!!!!
All of them getting ready for relay’s. nerves in a bundle…. poor things! Coaches RIGHT beside them, helping them get the jitters out before they get out there to swim…. Here we are, All up stairs Just as nervus, if not more, for the little mites. I have been there. down there…. getting ready for a BIG swim… all the butterflies. OH MY! You know what makes it for us all? Kids and moms alike? Is the YELLING OF THE CROWD. when they get to thier feet and scream because thier baby did thier best. to see that .01 second finnish from the second place dude… that you were sooooo going to catch. ; )
So when all that yelling and cheering brings to you a face with a ducky because they got FIRST PLACE in thier HEET…. wouldn’t you feel that maybe, JUST maybe…. it was because they heard you yelling just for them… telling them to kick JUST a little harder and they will cath that dude in first….. (which they did BTW which is why the girls relay 8 and under came away with duckies) did they hear? more than likely not. But I know that 2 of them did….
Insert boy with Bullseye on his head. sweet boy that we all love so much. he has been hitching rides with us all year. and I have become one of his “other mommies” or auntie, depending on his mood. He told me he could NOT ONLY SEE ME WAVING MY HANDS OFF….. I HAD MY mouth WIDE open and he heard. KICKKKKKKK!!! SO THERE. *sticks out tounge*
I am sure you are wondering why I would bring all this up. well during those first 4 heats of girls/boys that ARE MY TEAM…. were swimming. I, knowing all thier names, and loving them because I am team Auntie/mom that is on deck normaly helping them get were they need to be and helping through thier nerves, was SCREAMING FOR THEM!!!! I don’t mean a little either. It is hard for me to be up there… Not able to pace the deck and see them through thier IMPORTANT race.
The one that they sat and listened to an eyepod for to just calm thier nerves before they went out and tried to get that LAST TIME OF THE season…..
So here sits a lady from Seward 3 people from me. and while I was cheering on “My kids” she was appauled that I was cheering them on. well not that I was cheering… that I was so loud. so She proudly starts telling all that were sitting next to me that if they valued thier hearing they should leave fromt his spot. she is an audialogist and that I will cause them to lose thier hearing if they stay too close. But Now DID SHE LEAVE!!!! OH NO! she stayed there to continue to complain to everyone that would sit close to hear her before she shooed them away.
Now if you think that stopped me. NO WAY! look at those faces. they needed all the cheering AS LOUDLY as I could….. and I did so… with a SMILE! and everytime she closed her ear with her finger… I figured well MAYBE they heard me that time in the water. she could have moved. she just was trying to make a statment. I guess so was I. while I was cheering and getting into it for the kids. she was not for her kids. While mine were CRUSHING THIER TIMES…. hers were not…. so was it the cheering that did it. maybe not. but it sure was the enthusiasm that was coming from upstairs. I wasnt the only one that went home with very happy stoked children…. Those children were going home with the OTHER loud parents……
Our team did rake in a few firsts this year. 11&12 boys first place a 9&10 year old 3rd place and an under 8 year old girls FIRST! Over all points int he meet. we were very proud of them all. and yes. I will YELL. so if you hear the HARD OF HEARING WOMAN in the front row… and you think she is too loud. part of that is because she doesnt hear how load she is… the other part is all 20+ of her kids are out on that floor and she is screaming for every single one of them NO MATTER WHAT!
So here is the video that my sister has provided. (My camerea didnt work on the video) and don’t mind all the people yelling… that would be Auntie Lessa, Nanie, PawpaW., Daddy, Me and DEFFENATLY NOT The lady next to us. LOL

K~fly and T~fly also did relays I know that the 8 and under girls beat thiers by 20.89 seconds. which was AMAZING. they came from behind in that Medly relay… it was so COOL to watch. anyway. enjoy watching. they are finnished with swimming till November. Now it is time for me to get myself through the races for the summer. : )
