Special day!

Yesterday we surprised that baby girl and picked her up from school. She had NO idea we were going to do ti because at the moment neither did we. We went to town so that Hubby could see the guys at work. I guess he wanted to show them that he was not only alive but that he really did have crap hanging out of his chest. That he wasn’t faking and that it was real….

When we were finished with a few things. Well we have a half hour till the girley is at the bus stop OR we could go get her now. Hubby’s eyes lit up…. I feel like going shopping… lets go get her. So I called them so that they wouldn’t put her on the bus… we ran in and got her. We were only a block away from the school…..

Her reaction was SO COOL….One of the other kids saw me and said hey Girley its your MOMMIE…. she RAN dead RAN at me jumped and screamed Yeah its my mommie… than I whispered in her ear, Daddy is in the car and he wants to take you shopping….. “DADDYS UP!” Yup and he wants to spend that time with YOU.”

When we got out to the car. She opened Daddies door and gave him a huge hug…. than jumped in the back and the adventure began. We drove to a nearby city and when we got there we went to the BIG store…t he nani, Pawpaw store. That made her scream with excitement. We went in and got the batteries we needed for the watches… ran back to the garden center to get a new pot for one of our plants and she got to pick out seeds. 25 min….. that is all it took…. the man was WORE out. So we went to a place were he could sit to get up some strength for the walk to the car. Than home. Slept for an hour… than he was up and planting the plants. With help from his mommie that had showed up and from his daughter that was so eager to share with all that she had time with DADDY. We picked out the rocks for the bottom of the pot for daddy and he washed the ones he wanted and than he put them in the pot. The we mixed the dirt and pored it in. Daddy was great telling us exactly how much to put in of the different stuff…. he has the GREEN thumb not me.

Daddy and the girl had a very special day. And Daddy …. is getting some MUCH Needed LONG awaited sleep… he has done well …. and the girl was so happy to have her daddy be up and moving JUST for HER!
