So it was a great training run for me … I stayed in my normal time range… and I came back in one piece. that is all that matters. so this week my m iles ended up being a little different.

miles 178 +3 out of 435 in 9 weeks

I am pleased to tell you that my KIDS ROCKED THE SWIM MEET!!!!!!!!

they both SMASHED thier times. I mean SMASHED them. D~fly took off anywere form 5-12 seconds per race. and that is BIG FOR HIM!!!! He got out on his 100 free. “COACH… they messed up… THERE IS NO WAY I swam that in 1:24. I laughed so so so hard and said… yeah you DID! and we are both so proud of you!

My T~ fly tried a lot of NEW things… 100 back 200 IM 200 FREE..s o those were all NT. But the 50 free he broke his time in by a little over a second. and that is amazing! just so you know. He is now about 1 second away from beating his mother in her FASTEST 50 free sprint EVER!…..

well ont his happy most wonderful note… I need to get into the pool. these kids are catching me fast. Than again. NAP FIRST …t han pool!

sitting in the middle of the road. a little Beagle puppy. and rightfully so we named him snoopy. No one came forward on this little darling and after 2 weeks…. he now has a place to call home. but that MEANS POTTY TRAINING! yeah me….

Yes, that is a pop can….. a root bear pop can… I have NO IDEA were she found it. she just said outside… when asked what it was….. “It is a snake… see here its head is comign out of the can and LOOK MOMMA,

okay now if that doesn’t make you spit pop on your key board… I DON’T know what will. Hubby and I laughed for hours after that everytime we looked at it… did I save it you ask…. WELL OF COURSE!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to tell her about it again when she is older and has forgotten about the one eyed snake. : )

The other little turd niece the Pup… she was here for a few day’s last week. And they found the cherries that I thought I had hidden well enough for dinner.

WRONG PRONG! So when she came running over to let me know that it “LOOKS LIKE A HEART AUNTIE!” I was told I MUST take a picture to share…..

Not sure if that is a heart or a butt…. But she looks happy about holding a butt.

Here is why it is hard to get any chores done in my house. LOL… not the kids. It is because the Dog tells me what I can and cannot do…..

I shared a while ago how cool my oldest Dude is getting…. well look at today.

He was taking time to share with the little ones how to beat something on a D.S.!  I don’t have one of these in my house. Don’t like them! BUT the kids have played with them in many places. And when the little one G~bear comes over. He brings his. so…

that means the kids pile around it and enjoy laughing and learning together. But how cool that he is even letting them into his space. SO NEW!!!!!!! He is growing I tell you. Growing and changing.

Momma~Fly

So it was a small day for me. I am ever so happy we did it together though. D~Fly and I are able to get time together one on one that isnt possable with all the other kids in the house.  Which is nice. I am finding that I look forward to the workouts with him more than I do with anyone else. NEVER thought that he and I would have this conection. I am so happy that we do.

we got in a 3 mile run. there is no map that I can show you. I was wanting too But the trails are not on mapmyrun.com so you are stuck with trusting me. LOL. went back over it with my bike/odometer so that I would know how far we went. it wasnt even how far. it was more about the walk before hand and the talking. He showed me the course that we were going to take. He knows it from Cross country running last year. and he wanted us to do it like it was the race. I …. DON’T mind.

so we walked and talked about all sorts of things. His BIO MOM is comig to town and we are working on visitation for her to be able to see him. This always brings fears for him. and for us…. I want him to voice them.  Now that he is older. HE IS DOING IT! all/any fear is ligitament. these… are even more so. as he has dealt with the crazienss that is his mother for a long time. He knows what will happen. But I reasure him. All will be fine.

He has grown, something cool for him…. empathy and compasion is not something that he has shown regularly over the past 9 years we have had him. something about RAD makes it GONE! But this ….today….this happened.

D~Fly- “I~fly while we were headed to the car I think I smashed your lunch a little bit. and since we got the same thing… I would like you to have mine instead.”

Me-……….

I~fly……..”okay BIG BRO!” He of course at the age of 5 is seeing that the grass is greener…. not that it mattered… but you know kids are kids…

Me- “You know buddy you don’t have to do that.” hoping he will explain his feelings about it….

D~Fly… “yeah I know but I don’t want his day to be BLUNDERED because of my Fowl up.”

Me-…….

……… Okay … you know that is AWSOME empathy and compassion. I am SO PROUD OF YOU!……

Me- “Hey bud you are turning out to be just the coolest dude! I mean that. thank you for thinking about your brother and his feelings. that was really sweet.

so when we got home he MADE sure that the lunches were in perfect order. than let his brother choose. I was able to sit back and watch…. the boy t hat would have beat the CRAP out of anyone for thinking about LOOKING at his lunch just 2 years ago… freely give it to his little brother give him a hug and a kiss…. and just tell him he loved him.

I AM THE MOST BLESSED MOMMY ON THE EARTH!

The boy and I will be there…. to compeat … Missy and her baby N. will be there compeating. I am so excited that we are going as a family again in AUGUST!

So last day of school was on Wednesday for the high school. And there are 5 girlie girls’ who’s birthdays happen to be in the summer so ALL their LIVES they haven’t gotten to have cupcakes at the school for their birthday’s! Sooooooo, being the auntie I am I said “SURE”

Her is the spaghetti and meatballs cupcakes that I made for the happy girls. And boy oh boy I tell you they were HAPPY!

So we are a few days out from the race. Boy I let my hair down over the past week. Haven’t worried so much about my eating or about the exercise I know i am not getting. It will all be okay. So Today is a new day. Did I get out and run like I said I was going too… NO!

I did that yesterday * LOL* today I will get in a 26 mile bike ride. If I can get in a few more here and there I will. So I am off to make a birthday cake today. I will get pictures as it is progressing. And most of all the finished product. I just love doing this for the kids. This one wants a swimming pool to look “JUST LIKE MY TEAM POOL!!!!!” so I am getting that done today. Will it be perfect? More than likely not. But it will be closer than most.

Yup that is all of them. I know !can you believe I have so many?  the team is twice as big this year as it was last year. I LOVE TO SEE THAT. those two men you see up there took the LARGEST group of NONSWIMMERS and turned them into Athleats. it is the coolest thing I have ever seen. these little guys… including my oldest Dfly. started lessons with these two in june/july of last summer. and I want you to see what he did. one of the 8 and under. she took FIRST place in Sprint champs. another one that just learned int eh 11-12 year old group he took FIRST in sprint champs. broke 6 records off our wall and got enough meddels to spin your head this year. and he only started swimming in December. He took another 8 and under and she got 3rd in sprint champs. we have 6 kids qualify for Junior Olympics. 4 OF THOSE WERE JUST LEARNING WHAT THE STROKES ARE!

My niece got her FIRST honor time…..

My son…. He got 4 bronze meddle times. and he was tricked out with some bling there.

My TFLY even gave his brother some love a tap of hands as he went by to get a trofie. he fights so hard to get the times he gets. He is a runner that is for sure. But wonderful to see brotherly love there!

we looked up T~FLY’s bronze time from last year in the 50 back. he beat that timet his year by 7.12 seconds. it is amazing what these two men are able to do. I KNOW they will not see this. but I want them to know

You two are amazing. you are even kind enough to whip us old ladies into shape. I know that the kids have a lot to do with what you are able to get out of them. But if it wasn’t for you two making it so fun. I know that these kids wouldn’t be were they are now. I also know that you two are going to take them far in the swimming world. Just want you to know from this momma….. you two are the best.

Non- Alaskan kid sees a moose steers clear because it is so big and gawks from the comfort of a home or car.

AN ALASKAN kid…. plays outside all night with a moose happily chewing on the grass in the front yard. KNOWING that moose is there…

mom calls them in for dinner… and says very clearly..”GO TO THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK AND WALK AROUND THE FRONT. SO YOU WON’T SPOOK THE MOOSE!” What does an ALASKAN KID DO?!? Runs right up to it. Goes. “OH Hi there….” and than calmly RUNS into the house. “Mom the moose is my FRIEND!”

As I have said before I~FLY is going to be the death of me. If he wouldn’t have looked up fast enough he would have ended up like this…. With a moose of course!
