I absolutly love to cook. it is something that makes my heart feel good. I love to put food in kids mouths … well anyones mouth and see them smile because the spices are combined JUST RIGHT! here is one that I cannot take credit for. it is a Biggest loser recepie. But one that I LOVE. one that anyone that I make it for LOVES. so here it is….

Spicy Meatballs with Fiery Chili Sauce Recipe

Makes 1 serving

Lovely meatballs!

Your tags – turkey Ingredients 112 g 4 oz. ground turkey
28 g 2 TBS cooked brown rice
5 g onion
3 g 2 cloves garlic grated
3 g yellow spicy pepper
1 (.325g) 1/4 tsp dried parsley
1 (.4g) 1/4 tsp italian seasoning
1 .45g) 1/4 tsp fennel seed
1 (.25g) 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
45 g 2 1/2 TBS chili sauce
1 g 1/8 tsp or to tast tobasco
Directions
1.preheat oven to 400 degrees

2.in medium bowl,combine the turkey, rice, parsley, italian seasoning, fennel, garlic, onion, red pepper flakes. Mix well with hands and roll into 8 balls.

3.Place them in a single layer on a small nonstick baking sheet. Bake for about 7 min, or untill the meatballs are just barely pink inside. transfer to a medium bowl and set aside.

4.Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the chili sauce with the tobasco. Pour the sauce over the meatballs. Toss to coat and serve.

what a horrible experience I just had. Had someone call my house at 0700 to talk to me about the cake I made for her daughter. It is something that I have loved to do for a long time now. Just bake a cake make it something special for them…. something that they want that the stores will put some stupid plastic stuff on top of the cake. MINE is all eatable. and I think they look fun. no biggy ….. I HAVE NEVER CHARGED A PARENT A DAY IN MY LIFE FOR THESE!!!!!!!!! I do it for the smile on their face.

I did one for the first time for an older child. she was turning 14. (not family child) I was excited because it was for a swimming pool like I had done for my niece a while back. But the first one ( in my opinion) is a learning curve of creativity. the next one is always better. (Sorry pup it was) This one didn’t have pretzel people… they are JUST TOO BIG… this one had teddy grahams. this one had the flags. this one had a record board with her name on it. with her time. she was the teddy in lane 3 because that is her favorite number. see I pay attention to what the kids say… NOT THE PARENTS. on what they like.

the first phone call was fine. second was a little worse. this one once again demanded to know how much it would be. kept telling her I don’t charge. than I succumbed and told her she could pay for the materials. after that I didn’t care. than it was asked again. told her I would figure it out and let her know. you see, I see her every other day in my everyday life. so weather it be a phone call or in person she is right there. I like her don’t get this wrong. I really like her. and most of all I LOVE her daughter. But this has me scratching my head.

I figured it out and called her to let her know that it was material wise at 23$ and than I still needed to get the necklaces for the lane lines and i knew those were 3$ each…. GIANT ones. and the teddy Grahams. soooo it would be right about 30$ at the end.

she was fine with that…. so when I called to deliver it. She had the 14 year old ask me again how much it was going to be. don’t take this wrong. BUT kids shouldn’t be brought into that. I asked to talk to mom and she was upset I was taking her away from all the things that she had to do to get the party ready.. I apologized and told her again that it would be 30$ for the materials. anything after that I didn’t care about.

This is turning ugly fast.

I got to the home to a happy young lady excited that I was making this for her. Than I did the rest of it. All the little things that still needed to go on it. The fish on the side the this the that. Put it the rest of the way together. I insist on delivering because if it falls I want it to be my fault not someone else’s. I told them and her daughter. That IF one of her friends wanted that cake it would be 60$ to them. I would never make it for another kid outside of my circle. It was a lot of hard work. I only like to do it for well…. kids inside my friendship circle.

The phone call this morning was to tell me how horrible I was. That she was a baker and she NEVER would have told a child that “My hubby and I are taking it in the shorts for you.” YEAH NO! That isn’t what I said. I was told I needed to go to business school. Because what I was asking for was unreal. That she had no intention of buying a $60 cake. That it wasn’t worth it. That she could have gone to the local store and got one for 22$ (they are now29$ but whatever) and gotten a cake that would have tasted just as good if not better. (she is forgetting here that I didn’t even WANT THE MONEY IN THE beginning) And it ended up being so bad that i told her in the end that she needed to listen to me…. even if you BRING me the check I WILL NEVER cash it. So save yourself the time. DON’T come in today to bring me anything. I would much rather have you and your daughter smile….. than have any of the materials. It is STUPID! This is why I have NEVER wanted to take a dime for it. No matter how many times people tell me. Hey Momm~fly those are so cool… you should go into business. WHY would I do that when I get treated like this. I DIDN’T WANT THE MONEY! Why wont people just listen to me. I just wanted her to smile and have something different and have something to enjoy and to………

So TOMORROW is Jpup’s birthday party. And that means…. Cake Auntie is going to make the cake… what does she want…? “ A PERFECT replica of my TEAM POOL!”

With much thinking and figuring out…. This is what we came up with….

graham crackers with White chocolate over it.

Cut into the right sizes so that a box can be made out of it.

Than a double layer Half sheet cake is made

cut out and frosted

than the pool is dropped into the layers.

All the decorations for the inside of the pool are done

than the icing is added so that the pool deck is coming together.

While that is all coming together pretzel people are being made and a score board as well.

 Than the pool water is poured in

And lane lines made…

ending with the score board on…..

So last day of school was on Wednesday for the high school. And there are 5 girlie girls’ who’s birthdays happen to be in the summer so ALL their LIVES they haven’t gotten to have cupcakes at the school for their birthday’s! Sooooooo, being the auntie I am I said “SURE”

Her is the spaghetti and meatballs cupcakes that I made for the happy girls. And boy oh boy I tell you they were HAPPY!
